When the sun goes down, the Chapel Street precinct transforms. At night, a whole new face to the area emerges, as do the crowds who want to enjoy an after work tipple along with forgetting all of their cares.

If a subdued night is in order simply prop yourself up at any number of humming bars to enjoy clinking glasses of sommelier-approved wine over a bite of tapas or two. Cocktail connoisseurs will be pleased attempting to work their way through adventurous drinks menus at several haunts concocted by local mixologists. For the traditionalists there are a handful of old-school pubs – sans the sticky carpets – offering foaming brews on tap alongside classic plates of hearty pub grub.

For those who prefer not to sit still for too long, there are a few glittering nightspots worth lining up for where dancing is the only concern (along with the occasional game of spot the celebrity).
