Part of the charm of the precinct is its ever-evolving face; there’s always another “new favourite place” to discover. Keep up to date with the latest here.
I scream, you scream we all scream for Topshop. Hold onto your pennies; the UK fast fashion behemoth, made even more famous by uber-model Kate Moss, will open their first Australian branch in Melbourne’s Jam Factory. The eagerly awaited arrival will see Topshop’s typically accessible, trend-focused pieces fly right out the door and see budget-conscious stylephiles coming back for more.
The Ksubi “boys” – the juvenile moniker by which the rebellious crew seem to be forever known – have finally set up their second Melbourne home on Chapel Street. ‘The End of the Moon’, as the boutique is imaginatively named, houses Ksubi’s latest clothing ranges and special projects in a raw setting inspired all things NASA, lunar and extraterrestrial travel. No spacesuit required.
From the minds that brought us Hoo Haa comes new Chapel Street bar and restaurant Morris Jones. A two-storey 1887 heritage warehouse has been restored with what Agenda calls “one of the best fit outs” they’ve ever seen. With chef Paul Wilson (ex-Botanical, ex-Radii) overseeing the menu you can be assured you’ll want to make your acquaintance over dinner or drinks with Mr. Jones very soon.
Think of Urban by Target, as a “best of” collection of fashion and accessories. The curated range, intended for the discerning inner-city dweller, is housed in a more intimate space than what we may be used to from its parental department store’s origins. Shop this new concept in the Jam Factory.
