Just like our favourite gal Jessica Day, rosé has a special place in our heart. Now that the afternoons are heating up and we’re finally shedding our Winter grumps, it’s time for Summer afternoons & glasses of pink drink of the gods. Luckily for ya’ll we know the hot spots, where the pretty girls (and boys) sip rosé and good times ensue.

Here are the top 5 places on Chapel Street to sip rosé in the sun.

Mexican and rosé? Hola! Obviously tacos and tequila are like BFFs, but a crisp, cold glass of rosé is totally in the friend group. Friends aside, what makes Fonda one of the hottest spots on Chapel to enjoy a rosé, is the rooftop. The sunshine pours in, the pretty colourful decor sets the perfect tone, and if there’s still a bit of chill in the air, the covers keep it nice and warm. Plus, if rosé isn’t your thing (what kind of monster are you?) there’s always margaritas.

Not only is the Speakeasy courtyard a terrrrrrific place for a rosé on a sunny arvo, they’ve completely ramped up their pink drink game with the Insta-famous frosé. It’s a sweet rosé slurpy and it’s all kinds of magical. If that hasn’t already sold you, Speakeasy will even let you bring your pupper with you on your frosé date. Enter through the street art covered walkway off Commercial Road and you’re sorted.

359 Chapel St, South Yarra

If your crew is looking particularly cute, you’ll wanna be in a high traffic locale. That’s where the Imperial comes in. Street side tables with excellent service, wine by the bottle and a never ending parade of people watching walking by. But if you’re anything like us, you’ll look like a gaggle of day drinking booze hags before long.

522 Chapel St, South Yarra

After a huge reno, local fave The Smith is ready for fun vibes and a bit of mischief! Sounds exactly like the place for a girls night, amiright?!  The entire new fit-out is an absolute stunner, but our favourite spot is right under the retracting roof. When it warms up, the blinds open and the light pours on in. Particularly handy if you’re in search of both vino and a tan. #winning

213-219 High St, Prahran

If you’re a local, and falling short on cash but not class, home’s the way to go! Wander your cute self down to Wine Republic, who have the best selection of rosé (and every other wine in the market). Go straight to the chiller so that you can be pouring the sweet stuff ASAP. We’re all about Wine Republic’s branded clean skin variety. It’s delicioso, and also a steal at just $11.90! Pull up a chair on your balcony, or courtyard, and call over your favourite rosé sippin’ person and enjoy! #balleronabudget
