As a big kids playground, Bosozoku is literally the perfect place to host your work friends if they’re up for a good time. Hey, don’t let your mind wander. We’re not talking about THAT type of good time – we’re talking karaoke, retro Nintendo games, pool, great food and drinks, and a dry ice spa. If your crew is heavy on the numbers, you can book out the entire venue and go manic. If your team is on the svelte side, take over a karaoke room, pool room or even the Tokyo subway.

But what about the food? Full food and beverage packages can be arranged, and we’re 99% sure that everyone will dig into the range of Japanese fusion sliders & canapés on offer.

Private functions are the name of the game at Mofo & Morocco Lounges on Greville Street. Day in and day out, they plan and execute parties of all types and they do an absolute beauty of a job. They have everything that you could possibly need on site and you’ll be working with expert event planners that’ll make your job a breeze! Plus, have you seen the inside of Mofo Lounge & Morocco Lounge? They’re ridiculously lush and may we say a little kitsch? But totally in a good way. Your guests will be blown away.

A sweet little cafe downstairs & a sweet event space upstairs. If you’re in search of a venue that’s a little more refined with the ability to host both sit down dinners or an elegant cocktail party – Lucky Penny is the perfect little spot. The function room is beautiful and bright and the in house catering by Chef Crowcroft is restaurant worthy. Plus, when the night’s over, your guests only have a short stroll to one of Chapel Street’s many bars.

We all know Abacus Bar and Kitchen. When it opened late last year it completely changed the cafe scene on Chapel Street. Abacus is a morning to night venue with a menu that champions local and sustainable produce, an interior that is perfection (Abacus was recently voted one of the most beautiful cafes in Melbourne) and a drinks list that is refined and delicious.

While Abacus stands out as a place to eat and drink on Chapel Street – it’s also an excellent venue choice for a private event, especially an end of year celebration.

Two Wrongs is a grunge glam bar riiiiiiight at the top of Chapel Street in South Yarra – it’s not hard to miss with it’s pretty position right beneath the Olsen Hotel. While from the outside it’s more bright neon grunge than glam… but take a bit of a stroll inside and you’ll find a bar and restaurant that is a perfect mix of cool and sophisticated. They have the boys from Easey’s working their burger magic in the kitchen and a vibe that is just right to get a party started. We have no doubt that your work mates will be well chuffed with an end of years soiree at Two Wrongs – it’ll be the stuff of legends.

She’s back and better than ever… just in time for the Jolly Season. The Smith on High Street is a local favourite, and is back after a short hiatus where the entire joint was pulled apart and put together again. What’s new? The fit out, with art covered walls and a retracting glass roof. The menu with a lue asian spin. And the vibes, which is now all about fun and a bit of light hearted mischief.

The Smith has two function rooms which can be completely booked out for a sit down dinner and when you’re all done – the crew can head downstairs for more antics.
