Uncommon is a striking venue on vibrant Chapel Street, and they want to party with you!

Indulge on wholesome, freshly-prepared foods; quench your thirst with a delectable bevy of beverages; mingle with friends underneath the gorgeous hanging gardens – it doesn’t get much better than that, right?

A chilled out café by day, Uncommon morphs into a bang-on-trend function venue by night. Located in the heart of Windsor, Uncommon can be described as a light and airy paradise that caters to events of every kind – from engagement parties to product launches, and corporate dos for the office.

Function availability

Uncommon can host cocktail parties for up to 100 guests any night of the week. The eatery operates as a chic function venue from 6-11pm, with tailored catering available. Salivate over the latest canapés hot off the press (grill): Morton Bay bug rolls, hoisin lamb ribs and salmon tartare. Head Chef Logan Buxton also makes a note of accommodating all dietary requirements to keep your vego/vegan/gluten free/dairy free friends totally satiated. On the drink package front, a flexible approach is embraced with customised combinations of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits available.

Uncommon has already proven a hot favourite for birthday parties and corporate events, with the likes of Mimco hosting its Spring Racing Collection launch amongst the lush greenery and rustic timber interior last September.

Why we love it

As an exclusive venue to Chapel Street, Uncommon has swiftly become a major asset to Melbourne’s buzzing entertainment precinct. All food is prepared in-house so you can guarantee ultimate freshness, while the super-convenient accessibility makes it a dream to get to – simply catch PT or park your car in one of the 200 off-street parking bays across McIlwrick Street.

Check them out on Facebook and Instagram (just be careful not to drool on your phone).
