Steal Their Look for Melbourne Spring Racing

Can you believe we’re already halfway through the Spring Racing Carnival? Because I can, but that could have something to do with it being my favourite time of year & having already attended what I think is one of the best race days, Caulfield Cup, I’ve put together a ‘Steal Their Look’ list for those of you who have left shopping to the very last minute.

So fellas, no need to use brain power to work out what to chuck on, here’s some good-looking lads & what they wore…

Steal Their Look

The former Bachelor has become somewhat of a style icon & brand ambassador for Calibre since finding love on the reality show, and he certainly didn’t disappoint with girlfriend Anna Heinrich on the day. Standing out from the crowd, Tim rocked Calibre’s Purple Linen Blazer suit, with their white stretched linen pants. Tim’s shoes were the stand out, the Doucals Italian made shoes were a colour that no one else was wearing on the day & added an edge to the outfit.

Steal Their Look

Keeping with the theme, the most recent Bachelor Matty J was down from Sydney with his new bae Laura. Matty went for a more traditional get up, with a matching blue pant & suit also from Calibre. The textured tie with matching pocket square offered an edge & focal point to what was otherwise a more conservative look.

Steal Their Look

AFL great & husband to Rebecca Judd, Chris Judd, went for a darker look, sporting a grey suit & with peachy pink tie. He bared all when it came to the shoes, rocking a tanned lace up & exposed ankle. ONYA Chris! This look is perfect for the gents just easing their way into the world of fashion & can easily be achieved with Menzclub ‘plain grey suit’.

Steal Their Look

Personal Trainer Sam Wood nailed the sand suit colour, paired with a navy chino. And I don’t know about you, but as soon as I saw that tie I thought of Hawthorn Football Club! Who said racing couldn’t be mixed with AFL? You can achieve the sand look with Jack London’s ‘Hope Linen’ jacket. They also have a great range of chinos. Sam also proved the importance of matching your sunglasses to outfit.

ME
Steal Their Look

I hate to be self-indulgent, but I wore MJ Bale’s ‘Fortunato navy suit’ & absolutely loved it. It was most definitely a talking point & raked in all of the compliments. Being such a busy jacket, I paired it with a light blue shirt & dark navy tie to soften the look, the white pants emphasised the detail of the jacket. I committed to the blue right down to the sunglasses, pocket square, belt & watch!

Now that you’ve finished reading this, get the keys, jump in the car & head down to Chapel St… there’s no time to spare! Keep in mind you may need to allow time for tailoring & if that’s the case – ‘Hangs Alterations’ is the place to go! Located opposite West Elm, Hang will have you looking schmick. Happy shopping lads.
