Presented by the City of Stonnington, Ephemeral Collection and The Bubble Emporium invite visitors of all ages to reconnect with creativity, curiosity, and the joy of the moment.

Step into Ephemeral Collection, a free, immersive art experience that reimagines Prahran Square as an illuminated playground. By day and by night, this luminous installation by internationally acclaimed design studio Atelier Sisu brings to life a series of glowing, larger-than-life forms that seem to float and breathe with the environment.
Celebrating the beauty of impermanence and human connection, Ephemeral Collection invites you to pause, play, and simply be in the moment. Whether you visit under the sun or beneath the stars, each encounter offers a unique and ever-changing sensory experience.

The Bubble Emporium — 12–16 November 2025
For five dazzling nights only, the enchantment continues with the Victorian Premiere of The Bubble Emporium — a breathtaking live performance where art, theatre and science collide. Each evening, Prahran Square will fill with a spectacular flurry of 20,000 bubbles per minute, transforming the space into a shimmering dreamscape of light and motion.
Created by acclaimed performer Clint Bolster, this magical installation invites audiences young and old to lose themselves in the wonder of the moment. With two free performances nightly, The Bubble Emporium promises to be a highlight of the season — ephemeral, effervescent, and utterly unforgettable.

Discover and find at your Local Ceramic Market, Pot Dispensary
This weekend, Pot Dispensary invites everyone to step inside its South Yarra studio for the Local Ceramic Market. Running this Saturday & Sunday, 10am – 4 pm at 425 Chapel Street. Visitors can explore and purchase a curated collection of functional, and sculptural ceramics — each piece made by one of the studio’s twenty members who share the upstairs workspace.
What sets this market apart is that every participating maker has been preparing their collection over the past few months, guided by Pot Dispensary’s Chief Ceramics Officer, Alexandra Sinclair. Many of these artists first began as Pot Dispensary students, before going out on their own, and creating their own practices and styles. The result is a diverse showcase of ceramics that capture not just, experimentation, and the vibrant community of Pot Dispensary.
We’d love for you to wander the studio, meet the makers, and peek behind the scenes. Studio tours will run throughout the weekend—showing the wheels, kilns, glaze-lab and the space where ideas turn into clay. Plus, if you’re curious to try it yourself, we’re offering $10 studio-access sessions (some experience needed). Beyond the market, we still run our one-off Saturday pottery classes (perfect for beginners) and longer six-week courses that take you through all the steps—wheel-throwing, trimming, glazing, firing—so you can make your own ceramic story.
Whether you’re a long-time ceramics lover, a curious first-timer or somewhere in between, the Local Ceramic Market is open to all. Come say hi, explore our sun-lit studio, and discover something made with intention, heart and community.

A New Chapter for Prahran’s Library. The Greville Street Library is officially back inside the historic Prahran Town Hall — and it’s better than ever. The refurbished space now offers:
- A larger collection of books across genres
- Expanded study areas and public computers
- Flexible spaces for programs and events
- Twice the floor space compared with the previous Prahran Square location.
Conveniently located at 180 Greville Street, Prahran 3181, the library is now centrally placed near Chapel Street and inside the iconic Town Hall. Library hours will be Monday to Friday, 10 am–6 pm, and Saturday, 10 am–1 pm. All activities are free and open to all ages.
What’s On at the Opening Day
Expect a fun-filled, family-friendly program from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Here’s a look at some of what’s planned:
